Try placing your stuff in alphabetical order. You have to insert a new row where your names should be, then put you info in that row.

Tried, and FAILED at adding my cars to the spreadsheet.. Will try again later, but my current cars are as follows (sorry, no pictures of my cars right here, but will find some online just to give people an idea)

The daily driver: 1997 Honda Civic 1.4iS (Ghettocharged with junkyard supercharger of unknown origin, 2.5" non silenced catback exhaust and 205/50 x 15" wheels) No picture of this one, because everyone knows what a '97 civic looks like.

The Cruiser: 1969 Simca 1501 (the one in the picture has the same colour as mine)

Kinja'd!!!

The project: a 1959 beetle. Currently dismantled and stored in a gazzillion boxes. But should end up looking something like this when finished, only in black

Kinja'd!!!

I also feel that I should give an honourable mention to the car I regret I ever sold, and that is a 1986 VW Golf GTi 16v with stripped interior, 2.0 litre block (9A), KR head, Schrick 268/276 camshafts, modified K-jet injection, 2.5" exhaust (including header). I don't know how much power it had, but I'm estimating 190 BHP (perhaps more) and that was a LOT in a car that was less then 1000kg, hit the rev limiter at about 220 km/h.

In terms of official legal ownership, the only car I own is a 2001 Ford Ranger which had been made into a Baja desert race truck and isn't even remotely street legal.

Beyond that I am key holder and caretaker of a 2000 Ford Super Duty and a 2005 Subaru Impreza rally car (the owner lives 2000 miles away, yes this setup is as sweet as it sounds), and my dailies are a 2001 Subaru Outback, a 2002 Dodge Grand Caravan, a 2008 Ford Taurus, a 2003 Lincoln Town Car, and a 2002 Lincoln Town Car hearse.

It's quick, it's light, it's loud, and it's angry. Every day feels like track day, and I love it. It's a visceral experience, to be sure. And the looks you get are priceless. Not the slackjawed droolers or teeny-boppers running up to instagram a selfie so they can be pretend rappers. No, the looks you get are very much of the WTF variety, which is infinitely more valuable to me. No one looks until they hear it. And when they look, it takes them a good minute to place the source of the noise. And then they still have a hard time believing it. Drive-thrus are particularly rewarding.

My favorite are the occasional hamster jokes from the occasional Brotruck drivers (who couldn't tell an E30 from an Aztek, let alone an Abarth from a Soul). I like to dust them at the lights while they try to figure out why they cant "roll coal" in a gas engine.

I am a bit of an IRL Troll. So for me this is quite literally the ideal car. There is already a strong aftermarket, as well, since the Abarth model has been on the roads in the EU for the better part of 6 years now. There is already a strong and rapidly growing club and auto-x following for this car in the US, and I expect to see that increase in the coming years as FIAT continues to promote the Abarth Experience track day, for which the price of admission is included with the purchase of every new Abarth. The event is scheduled about a dozen times each year, in 5 - 6 locations in the US (SoCal, Las Vegas, Texas, Florida, Chicago, and NY/NJ), so getting to one nearish you should be relatively easy. And since they provide the track cars and are in tourist spots, it's a perfect thing to wrap a vacation around (The Vegas days fill up first, but IMO the track at the Autobahn Country Club in Joliet, IL looks like it's the most fun). This car really has the recipe and manufacturers' backing to be the next sweetheart of grassroots racing.

Kinja'd!!!0

The Veloster's not that great on track. However, I never know which days I'm going to need to drive around the track a lot. For instance, I had no idea that yesterday would involve driving around pretty much all morning, but it did.

The Veloster holds a lot more stuff too, and any time I'm driving around the track it's probably because I'm trying to repair something so I need the space for tools and spare parts.

Also, it's light-years better than my previous car/DD, which was a teal 1995 Ford Contour with the CD4E automatic that must have been developed by a really lazy engineering team. The Sonata I got because the previous car (2001 Olds Aurora) was complete garbage and spent more time on a lift than on the street, and the Bimmer I just picked up and I have to say even in its non running state it's hands down my favorite car I've ever owned. The 2002's (IMO of course) look best when they're not exactly mint. Something about taking off the bumper and trim turns it from a comfy little touring car to a badass little sports car.

My little brother (he's 13) lurks here all the time, so he'll no doubt see this later. He's a huge Saab guy. He actually found the 9000 aero that my dad is currently driving and plans to someday get a '66 96 as a first car

Don't even sweat it. That first car is so entirely unremarkable, that even it can't remember what it was.

That, sadly, was the last generation of the Chevrolet Nova . It was a 1988, to be specific. It was actually a rebadged Toyota Corolla which was built at the Joint GM/Toyota NUMMI plant in California, which also churned out other rebadged duds, such as the Geo Prizm (another Corolla derivative) and the Pontiac Vibe (really a Toyota Matrix/Volt in disguise, both of which themselves were derivative of the Corolla. Go figure. It was basically a Corolla plant with different badges, and sometimes made Hilux/T100 light trucks).

The Nova, also known as the No Go in Spanish at one time was a respected and loved compact muscle car. Then it became a Corolla pretender. The 1980's were dark times indeed.

Kinja'd!!!

Some how THIS turned into what I drove in the 1980's (Edit: If this looks familiar, it should. The Nova was the smaller wheelbase stablemate to the much more popular Chevelle) . The 3rd gen Nova SS had a 396 or 402 big block option. Mine had a 98 cu in. engine... cue the sad trombone music. Though, if I can say any one positive thing, it is this: at least my Nova was the Twin-Cam model (DOHC in modern parlance) so it did have the hallowed 4A-GE engine block, the very same engine block which came from the legendary AE86 Toyota Corolla Levin. It was detuned to 112 HP, but wasn't a total waste of metal. It just turned the wrong wheels.

LIFELIST ACTIVATED!
First car: '00 Jeep Wrangler (with horrible 4 banger)

Kinja'd!!!

After that, a '00 Chevy Silverado in black, then an '02 Silverado in red when I wrecked that one.
Then a '96-ish? Nissan Maxima that died after I'd had it for a week.
Then had a '91 Alfa Romeo 164S, which was great till it happened to break down...right as I had to move and couldn't afford a tow dolly, so she got sold to a mechanic for 5oo bucks. Still smarting over that, and it was nearly 3 years ago now.

Kinja'd!!!

Then we got an '01 VW Passat V6 and an '02 Land Rover Discovery

Kinja'd!!!

Kinja'd!!!

Then we traded in the Passat on my wife's current car, a '13 Dodge Dart.

Kinja'd!!!

And just about a month ago, I sold my Disco, and two weeks ago replaced it with an '03 Mazdaspeed Protege...which promptly blew it's transmission up after 4 days of ownership and hasn't left the shop since...but look at how pretty it is!

Kinja'd!!!

And so in a couple of days, to tide me over while we find a transmission...I am buying this:

Yeah, I love knowing what my fellow jalops have owned...and I just realized...I forgot two cars...between the Alfa and the Passat I revived my grandmother's '82 Oldsmobile Delta 88, which I got for 100 bucks after she died, put about 400 bucks in it and drove it for a while, then sold for 950. That thing was a tank, still see the lady I sold it to driving it, she hit a deer and just needed a headlight.
And last year while I owned the Disco and the Dart, I also bought and revived my brother's '92 Dodge Daytona for 300 bucks to use for rallycross, but while I got get her running pretty well, we ended up in a situation where both my wife and I broke our phones at the same time, so I sold her to pay for them.

My first and, so far, only car is this 1995 Fiat Tipo Sedicivalvole. I've owned it since late 2007, after convincing my father that an engine rebuild would be better than selling off a car that's pretty much one of only a handful still running here in Brazil. This car is special to me for a number of reasons, but mostly because my father owned it since new before passing it on to me, and I grew up in it. I used to go to school on this car's backseat back in the 90's, now I drive it to college every morning...

If I was more frugal than I already am, I would have settled for a G37 sedan.

Thankfully, years of desire won out this time!

My old car was an '05 Mazda 3s hatch - bit of an upgrade, huh?

My DD is an '02 SMG, which I have owned for eight years now. This is the car I always wanted to own, especially after driving one on a racetrack a few days. The other car (my partner's) is a '10 Grey Prius.

Below is a very fun car that I do NOT own, but I get to play in once in a while.

Good call - the G37 is too buzzy and harsh to be called a luxury car. It's quick and fun, but it'll beat up your kidneys and doesn't like to be driven in a civil manner.

And the car I got is on a whole 'nother planet in comparison. Some of the future repair and maintenance bills will probably suck, but I can't imagine ever regretting my decision. I just enjoy this beast too much every time I get in it.

Have you ever read about the early development of the 3? There was some thought to make it an upmarket Mazda brand (like Lexus, Acura, Infiniti) and compete with the the 3-series. The decision was make to forgo that plan, and just make it a Mazda, but the 3 benefited greatly from all this initial development. Every time I looked at the crappy carpet or touched some hard plastic, I was glad I had a car where so much of the cost went into the suspension and brakes.

Thank you, yeah for a boring econobox the Cruze looks pretty muscular, I've always been a fan of how they looked. For the price it's certainly a great buy, the interior is great as well. The Speed6 was awesome, still sad that I had to sell it. Needed something much better on gas that didn't require 93 though. DAT MZR + AWD.

I'm now learning the pain of the damn 93. As a 17 year old driving a 5 cylinder, I cry a bit every time. $50 to fill up from a quarter tank is ridiculous, with that small of a tank.

She's been in my care for 6 years, longest I've yet owned a car. Done a few things to her, other than fixes, e.g. upper and lower strut bars, K&N filter, Turbo+ kit, aftermarket Moda R6 wheels, and some updated interior and exterior bits.

There's a few more pictures on the Pbotography page. I'm on my phone or I'd repost them, but I'll poat them here later.

Fresh after a drive.

List of things I want to do: get some "euro" headlights, install the side-marker lights I have that go where the fender badge is, relocate said fender badge and add a red "Turbo" badge from an '80's Volvo, get the engine to stage 0 and start eking more power out of it bit by bit, and figure out where my gas mileage has gone to. Possibly install clear taillights or the RCCR ones from the later 960/V90 models.

Before the 765, I had an '89 745 n/a for a few months, as well as an '89 Camry Wagon, preceded by an '89 626 which got 42mpg average, and before that was my baby, the '97 626 I bought from my parents when I was in high school.

I don't know what it is, but I'm so in love with almost all of the volvos. I'm told that they're always such a headache, but I can't stay away...there's something magical about them.

They're really not so bad. Yes, the newer ones will require dealership visits to make them happy (unless there's a good independent Volvo shop, which, here in Saint Louis, there are several), and some parts will be pricey, but, treat them right, and they'll do the same to you. My preference are the RWD models, notably the 700/900/90 series, as I consider the 200s too cramped for my tastes, as they are stupidly easy to work on, plenty of room under the hood, and the forum support is top-notch, among the best on the internet. Got some problem that has a regular mechanic flummoxed? A forum member or twelve probably know the cause and repair having had the same experience. Need help going to a junkyard or installing a part? Any number of locals are glad to show up and share their tools and experience and helping hands. We're a passionate group, mostly because we're an underdog minority, but we do have the ear of the manufacturer, which is a rare treat. Other manufacturers will come out with something and be like "well here it is, you better like it or else", whereas Volvo will take info they've gathered from internal development and research, mix it with input from owners and enthusiasts, make the concept, then listen for feedback for the production model. We're hoping the bean counters will allow a reborn 700/900/90 series, RWD but with the style of the current models that is, so we keep pushing for it. We know FWD is established, but BMW, Mercedes, audi, and now even Hyundai are being successful with RWD flagship models in the lineup with low-end models utilizing FWD.

Having worked as a mechanic for a number of years, Volvos are relative pieces of cake. If you want a nightmare-mobile, look no farther than any VAG (vw, audi, etc) or GM product, and just below that would be BMWs and Benzes. They're nice to own the first few years when things aren't failing and maintenance is covered from the factory, but get beyond three years or so and your mechanic, while happy with the fat wallet they get, will hate you.

Yeah, that golf was a beast, an evil beast at that, it had a hobby you see.. Harassing BMW 328's (E36), they would beat me on top speed, but they had NOTHING on me at speeds below 200 km/h ;)

All very good to know. I have a thing for sporty wagons, so volvo really is destined to be in my future. I've got a particular weakness for the 240, 122, 740, 850, etc etc. Any R car is obviously on the list too.

Indeed. I was very very close to buying an 855R instead of my 765, but a guy in Arizona beat me to it. I'm kind of glad I didn't, since it wasn't RWD and was black, and after working at a Lincoln dealership, black cars are a turn off for me, since you have to clean them seemingly every day to keep them looking nice.

I can definitely recommend going for the RWD models, and I strongly prefer the 700/900/90 series, since they have the fuel tank on what I consider the "correct" side, are a bit larger so more practical, and offer similar fuel economy to the 200-series. If I had to get rid of my car, I'd look for a wagon up until 1996 (so I don't have to do emissions testing) with the redblock turbo. Avoid the straight and V6 models until the 2000s. The 90's models are safer (they offer SIPS standard, plus dual and some side airbags), and have a few creature comforts (like cup holders and comfier seats) to their earlier brethren.
